Walter Daguerre holds a Bachelor’s degree in Theater Theory and a Postgraduate degree in Criminology. He was a screenwriter for the miniseries “JUSTIÇA 2” (the most-watched series of all time on Globoplay) and “LIGAÇÕES PERIGOSAS”, as well as the telenovela “AMOR DE MÃE” (nominated for an EMMY and winner of Brazil’s “Melhores do Ano” awards in major categories), all produced by Rede Globo, where Daguerre also developed additional projects. He also wrote “VIDAS BANDIDAS” (2024), a Disney+ series. In film, he directed a fiction short (“EU, SIDARTHA”) and co-directed a fiction feature (“PARAÍSO AQUI VOU EU”). In theater, Daguerre has had 22 plays staged, including a production in Portugal (Brás Cubas), and has received numerous award nominations, such as FITA, APTR, CBTIJ, Contigo. He won the Shell Award for Best Playwright for Projeto K and Josephine Baker – A Vênus Negra.
