Rubens Marinelli began his career as a creative in Brazil’s top advertising agencies. He holds a degree in Film Directing from the New York Film Academy and completed a screenwriting specialization at New York University (NYU).As a writer and director, Rubens is behind the award-winning short films Entre Lágrimas e Risos and The Couch, the latter broadcast by the American network PBS. He co-wrote the screenplay for Saudosa Maloca, a finalist for the 2024 Grande Otelo Award for Best Comedy Feature, and wrote the crime miniseries Vidas Bandidas for Star/Disney+. He is also the creator of the drama series Santo Maldito for Star/Disney+.
