His films reveal a truth by addressing social dramas and inspiring human stories. With his innovative vision, Rodrigo has made documentaries in various parts of the world. Among his notable works are Detalhes Conjuntos (2015), a fiction short film selected for the InCorto Italia Festival and the Official Selection of the New York City Int Cine Fest; Desafio de Los Volcanes (2015), a reality series about the world’s toughest adventure race, filmed in the Andes in 2015 for AXN; Meninos ao Mar (2016), a documentary about the experience of seven young people stranded on a 41-foot sailboat during the Rio de Janeiro Olympics, produced by TV5 France, Thalassa. He wrote and directed the documentary series Fronteiras Médicas (2018), which follows doctors from the Médecins Sans Frontières program around the world, filmed partly in Africa (Guinea-Bissau) and Brazil. Projeto Amazônia (2019) is a documentary series that portrays the lives of various indigenous ethnic groups across Brazil.His documentary short 10/03 – The Story of David Santos (2023), which tells the story of cyclist David Santos after an amputation caused by being hit by a drunk driver on Paulista Avenue, won awards such as Best Film at Rock Spyrit and was selected for festivals including É Tudo Verdade, Ciclo Pinheiros, and CineSport. He created and is directing the true crime series Gisberta, about the murder of Gisberta Salce Junior in Portugal by 14 children living in a Catholic institution, and Tânia Maria – a feature-length documentary about one of the world’s greatest jazz musicians and her battle against Alzheimer’s – currently in production.Currently, Rodrigo has created and written the fiction feature film Eu não sou Carlos, scheduled to begin production in 2026. In addition to entertainment, the director has made over 200 commercials, winning awards at festivals such as Cannes, El Ojo, and Wave Festival.
