Renata Dias Gomes is a screenwriter and television writer. She has always wanted to tell stories—stories for the screen and for wide audiences. Dreaming of writing soap operas and TV series was a natural path. Though she studied film, she quickly began working in her true calling. At the age of 20, she joined the writing team of the series “GERAÇÃO SAÚDE” for TV Escola. At 22, she wrote her first telenovela for Record TV and has never stopped since.Renata has written for Brazil’s major broadcasters, including Record TV, SBT, and Globo, and also wrote the documentary “JOÃO DO VÔO” for ESPN-Brasil. She is the creator of the series “DIAS DE JANETE”, developed for Globo and currently awaiting production. Among her most prominent credits are the telenovela “IMPÉRIO”, winner of the International Emmy Award for Best Telenovela, and “MALHAÇÃO – VIDAS BRASILEIRAS”, which received two International Emmy Kids nominations.She has developed an original series for Netflix and is currently the head writer of a telenovela for a major streaming platform.
