Pedro Reinato is a professor and screenwriter. He holds a Bachelor’s degree in Portuguese and English Language from Centro Universitário Sant’Anna (2001), a postgraduate degree in Literature from the Pontifical Catholic University of São Paulo (2004), and both a Master’s (2008) and a PhD (2015) in Brazilian Literature from the University of São Paulo (USP). He has worked as a literature teacher and content developer for various national publishing houses. He is a professor in the Postgraduate Program in Screenwriting at Fundação Armando Álvares Penteado (FAAP). At ROTEIRARIA, he serves as the academic coordinator, instructor, and collaborates as a screenwriter on feature film and series projects. He is the author of seven series and films currently in development. He wrote the screenplay for the feature film “O ANEL DE EVA”, directed by Duflair Barradas and starring Suzana Pires; the short film Ilumine-se (in production); and the documentary series Da horta (in production). He also wrote the feature film “CÂNCER COM ASCENDENTE EM PEIXES”, directed by Rosane Svartman.

Teaching

As an educator, Pedro teaches in the Postgraduate Program in Audiovisual Screenwriting at Fundação Armando Álvares Penteado (FAAP). At Instituto Conhecimento Liberta (ICL), he teaches the course Stories for the Screen: Introduction to Audiovisual Screenwriting. At Roteiraria, he is the academic coordinator and teaches several courses, including Series Workshop, Screenwriter Training, and Introduction to Adaptation. He is also a faculty member in the online course The Screenwriting Journey, a partnership between ANCINE and Roteiraria.
