Pedro Reinato is a screenwriter, script consultant, and professor. He holds a specialization in Literature from the Pontifical Catholic University of São Paulo (2004), as well as a Master’s degree (2008) and a Ph.D. (2015) in Brazilian Literature from the University of São Paulo (USP).As a screenwriter, he has written works across various genres, including the feature film Câncer com Ascendente em Virgem (2025), directed by Rosane Svartmann, winner of the ABRA Award for Best Comedy Screenplay, and O Anel de Eva (2024), directed by Dufflair Barradas. In the documentary field, he co-wrote O Coro do Te-ato: Ver com Olhos Livres (2023), directed by Stella Penido, about the Teatro Oficina. In partnership with director Natan Fox, he wrote the short film O Homem que Virou Castanha (2023).For digital platforms, he contributed to both seasons of the web series Desabafo de um Professor (2018–2019), produced by Editora do Brasil.As an educator, Pedro teaches the course Histórias para Tela: Introdução ao Roteiro Audiovisual at Instituto Conhecimento Liberta (ICL) and has been part of the postgraduate program in Audiovisual Screenwriting at FAAP (Fundação Armando Álvares Penteado). At Roteiraria, he is the academic coordinator and instructor for courses such as Writers’ Room Workshop, Screenwriting Training Program, and Introduction to Adaptation. He also taught in the online course A Jornada do Roteiro, a partnership between ANCINE and Roteiraria.
